Description: Part 1 The purpose of this course is to educate housing and community development professionals, developers, planners, zoning officials, public housing authorities and fair housing professionals about their obligations to Affirmatively Further Fair Housing (AFFH). This training will cover an overview of the history of housing discrimination in America, the Fair Housing Act, and other pertinent federal civil rights laws. Participants will be guided by national fair housing planning experts on how community development, zoning, land use and planning officials must address segregation and housing discrimination in their federally funded programs and activities.
