Description of training course: FHAPs and FHIPs have a huge opportunity to guide, advise and influence the improvements in the quality of life for everyone within their jurisdictions, especially for those who are protected under the Fair Housing Act, as amended.

This training course will start by covering the history of housing discrimination in the United States of America and the requirements of the Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing (AFFH) regulation. Attendees will then learn how their roles and experience as local fair housing experts, can serve in the production of the Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice and the implementation of AFFH.
