Investigation of Housing Discrimination in the Real Estate Appraisal Process (a 5-day course)

Description: International Development and Planning, LLC (IDP, LLC) will provide training on how to conduct an intake and investigate Fair Housing issues in the Real Estate Home Appraisal process. This virtual training will occur over five days for five hours each day, in our proprietary learning management system. The instructors for this training will be IDP, LLC’s nationally renowned instructors, Mr. Michael D. Mitchell, J.D. and Mr. Jeffrey Paul May, MURP.

The purpose of this training is to assist Fair Housing agency staff in investigating Fair Housing issues in the Real Estate appraisal process under their civil rights statutes and regulations. New and seasoned intake specialists, investigators, staff attorneys, and executive staff will learn an overview of mortgage lending and appraisal transaction, the components of an appraisal, examples of discriminatory acts in the appraisal process, and how to conduct an intake and investigate an appraisal housing discrimination case under the federal fair housing laws.
